JAN & DAN LAYTHAM
“We’ve advertised in every issue of élan.
That’s because it works–every time!”
Jan and Dan Laytham can credit their success to using advertising strategies gleaned from years of business in retail sales.
“Many years ago, we’re talking the ’60s through the ’80s, I helped start Britches of Georgetowne, the men’s clothier that started in Georgetown and grew to more than two hundred stores.
“After leaving Britches, I embarked on a career in real estate, employing everything I had learned in the clothing business. And one of those lessons was to advertise consistently in publications that enhance our image while driving customers to our product.
“With our business focused primarily on the Great Falls and McLean markets, it was essential that we reach upscale buyers and sellers. To that end, élan filled the bill. We immediately recognized the need and value of élan from its inception as a vehicle that would target the demographic profile of our clients. Jan, whose background was serving as business manager for Informatics, a nationwide information systems company, saw the value in spending marketing dollars with élan.
“A lot has changed over the past years. Our business has become extraordinarily successful. élan is one of the contributing factors to that success.”
